Dr. Laurena Patarkatsi

Hormone Doctor
Dr. Laurena Patarkatsi, NMD, is a first year Resident Physician at Natural Endocrinology Specialists (NES). Laurena was born and raised in New York with her parents, younger brother, and three dogs. Growing up as an athlete and in a home where food was treated as medicine, she wanted to expand her knowledge in the field of nutrition, exploring the biochemistry, but also the psychological aspects of food. She attended New York University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. She further continued her education at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. While looking at food and nutrition as one key aspect to optimal health, she wanted to have the ability to assess all aspects contributing to her patient's health and help them achieve optimal wellness. Her belief is that in order to heal, we need to look at the whole individual, listen to and understand their story and only then can we really begin to unravel the root cause of their symptoms. Empowering her patients to be their best health advocate and strive to live their healthiest and most authentic lives is why Dr. Laurena pursued medicine. Her hope is to guide, educate and assist her patients on their healing journey.

Tiffany Tippetts

Patient Care Coordinator
My name is Tiffany and I am the front and back office assistant at Natural Endocrinology Associates. I have worked in primary care and neurology before coming to work with Dr. Khoshaba. Finding NES and Dr. Khoshaba was like finding the perfect match for my beliefs and how I view health and medicine. I absolutely love patient care and getting to be a part of helping people get healthy and feeling better! Watching patients start feeling more like themselves and to be happy and healthy is why I love coming to work everyday.
I am a Phoenix native and could not imagine living anywhere else! I love being outdoors doing absolutely anything! I love hiking, paddle boarding, working out and exploring new places. I have one son, Bryson and he is entering middle school. We have so much fun going to the Phoenix Suns games and other sporting events. We enjoy the lakes and being out on the water.
I look forward to being a part of your healthcare journey!

She has spent the last 15 years in the naturopath world and has loved every minute of it. Things she has learned along the way in her career have been that having great empathy and giving great care to her patients is truly a blessing for her and many patients have become good friends along the way. Denise is married to her wonderful husband Ray who she says, "he keeps me grounded and out of trouble".
