What is Thyroid Eye Disease?

Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) is a condition that affects the muscles and tissues around your eyes. It's commonly linked to Graves' disease, an autoimmune disorder that can cause your thyroid to be overactive. However, TED can sometimes occur on its own, independent of other thyroid issues.

Signs and Symptoms

Common symptoms of hyperthyroidism include:
