Immune Boosting Tea

Recipe by Dr. Linda Khoshaba

Ingredients:

1-inch piece of fresh ginger, thinly sliced 
1-inch piece of fresh turmeric, thinly sliced (preferred), or 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder 
Half a lemon squeezed 
1-2 teaspoons of Manuka honey 
1 cup of hot water 
A pinch of cayenne or black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)

Directions:

  • Place the ginger and turmeric slices in a cup.
  • Add the fresh lemon juice and a pinch of cayenne/black pepper.
  • Pour hot water into the cup, just off the boil.
  • Let the mixture steep for 3-5 minutes.
  • Stir in the Manuka honey until dissolved.

Strain if desired, and enjoy the team warm.
