Energy

Find out how you can find an Integrative way to help your boost your energy levels!

We help our patients improve their overall wellness and find the root causes to their condition(s). We focus on comprehensive testing and treatments to help maximize energy levels and restore vitality.

Having access to energy throughout the day is important because it enables us to carry out the daily activities and tasks that are necessary for our well-being. Without a consistent source of energy throughout the day, many of these activities would be disrupted, hindering productivity and quality of life.

Our approach

At NES™, we take an integrative approach to understanding the cause of your fatigue. We will inquire about your complete medical history to further investigate contributing factors to your fatigue and have you feeling vital again.

4 Simple Tips to support healthy cortisol levels

  1. Morning sun exposure: Aim for 5-10 minutes of sun exposure within the first 30 minutes of waking. This supports a healthy circadian rhythm and cortisol production.
  2. Develop a healthy sleep routine! Going to bed and getting up at the same time every day has been shown to support healthy hormone levels, improve sleep quality and overall energy.
  3. Exercise regularly: Aim for 150 minutes of exercise per week.
  4. Stress management techniques: meditating for even 5 minutes per day can help reduce stress!

Examples of labs showing low cortisol or cortisol dysregulation

Case Study

A  57 year old female presented to our clinic for her first appointment with symptoms of:

  • Fatigue
  • Constipation
  • Bloating
  • Moodiness
  • dry nails/hair/skin dry
  • Insomnia
  • difficulty swallowing/choking on food
  • hoarseness in voice
  • extreme exhaustion

Our first plan at NES™ included running lab tests and ordering specialty labs that help identify salivary cortisol levels. The results after the first appointment showed low cortisol levels throughout the day.

Low Cortisol Rhythm

After 5 months, we had a follow up appointment and ran the salivary cortisol testing again. The results showed drastic improvement in cortisol levels.

The treatment recommendations included:

  1. Rest and Self Care
  2. Limiting exercise
  3. Diet changes
  4. Environmental changes
  5. Supplements
