CSAx1

Gastrointestinal complaints are among the most common in medical care. The CSAP profile helps pinpoint the causes of gastrointestinal symptoms and chronic systemic conditions, and measures key markers of digestion, absorption and inflammation. It contains comprehensive bacteriology and yeast cultures to identify the presence of beneficial flora, imbalanced flora including Clostridium species, and dysbiotic flora, as well as the detection of infectious pathogens and parasites by PCR and other gold standard methods. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing to prescriptive and natural agents is also performed for appropriate cultured bacterial and fungal species at no additional charge. Parasitology testing can include one-, two- or three-day collection, based on practitioner preference.

Useful for:

  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms
  • Autoimmune Disease
  • IBD/IBS
  • Inflammation
  • Food Sensitivities
  • Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Joint Pain

Microbiology Profile

The Microbiology profile includes comprehensive bacteriology and yeast cultures to identify the presence of beneficial flora, imbalanced flora including Clostridium species, and dysbiotic flora, as well as detection of infectious pathogens. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing to prescriptive and natural agents is also performed for appropriate bacterial and fungal species at no additional charge.

Useful for:

  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms
  • Autoimmune Disease
  • Joint Pain
  • IBD/IBS
  • Inflammation
  • Food Sensitivities
  • Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Skin Conditions (Atopic Dermatitis)

Red Blood Cell Elements

Red blood cell (RBC) elements tests are used to assess the status of essential elements with important intracellular functions, such as magnesium, copper and zinc. Deficiencies or excesses of these essential elements affect numerous metabolic processes. RBC element analysis is also useful for the assessment of ongoing or recent exposure to specific toxic metals, such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, methylmercury and thallium, that accumulate preferentially in erythrocytes.

Useful for:

  • Alopecia
  • Anemia
  • Bone Density
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Depression
  • Dermatitis or Poor Wound Healing
  • Detoxification Therapy
  • Fatigue
  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms
  • Hypertension
  • Inflammation
  • Immune Function
  • Impaired Glucose Tolerance
  • Kidney Function
  • Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Parkinson's-like Symptoms
  • Sexual Impotence or Decreased Testosterone Production
  • Vision Problems

Sleep Balance Profile

The Sleep Balance Profile is a home collection test to identify hormone imbalances that affect sleep.

In a perfect world, the master stress hormone cortisol should be in sync with the master sleep hormone melatonin. Each hormone counter-balances the other in a precise rhythm – when cortisol is high melatonin should be low, and when melatonin is high cortisol should be low. For many, this rhythm is out of balance. With an estimated 60 million Americans suffering from some degree of sleep loss, it’s surprising that many are still unaware of the connection between hormones and sleep.

Common hormone-related causes of sleep loss often involve the following scenarios:

High Cortisol: Results in insomnia, anxiety, sugar cravings, feeling tired but wired & increased belly fat

Low Melatonin: Results in excessive fatigue, depression, anxiety & insomnia

Neurotransmitter Imbalance: Changes in sex steroid hormone levels during menopause can impact neurotransmitter levels, leading to recurring sleep issues.

TAP Test

The Temporal Adrenal Profile (TAP) includes 4 cortisol measurements over 24 hours. It is a saliva test which is the best method for measuring free, active levels of cortisol. The collection process is noninvasive, painless, and samples can be  collected from anywhere (home, office, etc.). A 24-hour measurement provides a more complete image of your body’s stress response.

Our Adrenal Stress Index can be helpful if you experience:

  • Chronic stress and stress-related health conditions
  • Fatigue or lack of energy
  • Anxiety or depression
  • Irritability or mood swings
  • Insomnia, sleep disturbances or difficulty waking
  • Difficulty losing weight
  • Poor memory or difficulty retaining information
  • Muscle and joint pain or weakness
  • Easy bruising or excessive stretch marks
  • Hypertension

Urine Toxic Metal

Urine Elements are traditionally used to evaluate exposure to potentially toxic elements and wasting of nutrient elements. Additionally, the comparison of urine element concentrations before and after administration of a chelator can be used to estimate net retention of potentially toxic elements. Subsequent urine element analyses, also following the administration of a chelator, are useful for monitoring the efficacy of metal detoxification therapy. Results are expressed per 24 hours or creatinine corrected to account for urine dilution effects.

Useful for:

  • Toxic Element Exposure
  • Alopecia
  • Bone Density
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Depression
  • Dermatitis or Poor Wound Healing
  • Detoxification Therapy
  • Fatigue
  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms
  • Hypertension
  • Immune Function
  • Impaired Glucose Tolerance
  • Inflammation
  • Kidney Function
  • Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Parkinson's-like Symptoms

USBIO 96 Food Sensitivity

Food allergies and sensitivities are recognized to be correlated with many plaguing health conditions, but with proper identification and elimination of offending foods, many experience relief from their symptoms. Our antibody assessment panels can serve as useful tools in the identification of trigger foods in individuals.

WatchPAT

WatchPAT®️ is an innovative Home Sleep Apnea Device (HSAT) that utilizes the peripheral arterial signal (PAT®️) for Sleep Apnea diagnosis.  It measures up to 7 channels (PAT®️ signal, heart rate, oximetry, actigraphy, body position, snoring, and chest motion) via three points of contact. Within one minute post-study, the raw data is downloaded and auto-scored identifying all types of sleep apnea events. WatchPAT®️ home sleep apnea test provides AHI, AHIc, RDI, and ODI based upon True Sleep Time and Sleep Staging. The WatchPAT®️ Home Sleep Test (HST) is clinically validated with an 89% correlation to PSG1. The PAT signal was included in the 2017 AASM Clinical Practice Guidelines as technically adequate.

Whole blood metals are the standard for diagnosis of lead, mercury or other metal toxicity or poisoning, and are also used to assess recent or ongoing exposure to potentially toxic elements. Whole blood analysis measures total element levels that circulate extracellularly in serum/plasma, as well as intracellularly within blood cells.

Useful for:

  • Alopecia
  • Anemia
  • Bone Density
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Depression
  • Dermatitis or Poor Wound Healing
  • Detoxification Therapy
  • Fatigue
  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms
  • Hypertension
  • Immune Function
  • Impaired Glucose Tolerance
  • Inflammation
  • Kidney Function
  • Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Parkinson's-like Symptoms
  • Sexual Impotence or Decreased Testosterone Production
  • Vision Problems

Yeast Culture

Identification of abnormal levels of specific yeast species in the stool is an important diagnostic step in therapeutic planning for the patient with chronic gastrointestinal and extra-gastrointestinal symptoms.

Antimicrobial susceptibility testing to prescriptive and natural agents is also performed for appropriate fungal species at no additional charge. This provides useful clinical information to help plan an appropriate treatment protoco.

Useful for:

  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms
  • Autoimmune Disease
  • IBD/IBS
  • Inflammation
  • Food Sensitivities
  • Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Skin Conditions (Atopic Dermatitis)

ZRT Blood Spot

The Blood Spot Hormone Test Kit is a simple, convenient, and non-invasive home-collection kit to evaluate your hormone health.

Dried blood spot is a form of collection where patients place blood drops on a filter card after a finger prick with a lancet. Once dry, blood spot cards are extremely stable for shipment and storage, and the dried blood format offers excellent correlation with serum tests.

Blood spot is ideal for measuring hormones and other analytes such as insulin, blood lipids, Vitamin D, thyroid hormones, and elements like magnesium. It offers distinct advantages over serum because it eliminates the need for a blood draw
