What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture derives from traditional Chinese medicines where thin needles are injected into different parts of the body to help stimulate the central nervous system. It is used to treat many different physical, mental, and emotional conditions by releasing chemicals, such as endorphins, into the body that enables the body’s natural healing abilities. Acupuncture is commonly treated to relieve pain and tension and promote relaxation.

The body is filled with energy and when there is a blockage or disturbance of the flow of energy, it can lead to possible health issues. This flow of energy is referred to as Qi in traditional Chinese Medicine.
